What Carl Paladino said about gay people is *not* aberrational for the GOP: http://is.gd/g5DiS
This tweet was issued by a liberal journalist by the name of Glenn Greenwald and it shows the religious tendency of the left once again. This guy really isn't a bad reporter from what I can tell granted he is a livid liberal/progressive/socialist so this blog isn't about him personally. Its about the way liberals think and see the world that most people have not quite noticed.
He says it in a way that denotes immorality or bigotry by believing the nature of homosexuality is a choice. Now homosexuality may be a choice or it may be by birth but that discussion is about the nature of homosexuality that revolves around biology or psychology. Believing in one theory as opposed to another is really a discussion about something factual and not about the moral character of any person who holds one position over another. We rarely denote people who don't believe in the big bang theory or the 'asteroid killed the dinosaurs' theory as immoral like this particular author did.
The religious nature of the left's thinking somehow has the power to separate the world into good and evil by its own thinking. Those that do not believe in man-made global warming are held up as boogie-men just like those who don't believe that homosexuality is something we are born with are. This author definitely implied something is wrong with the character of the average conservative for believing homosexuality is a life-style choice. Would it have sounded different if he said:

The point I'm making is their is a religiosity around the thinking of the left that doesn't exist in the right (unless they are social conservatives). The right believes in a natural world where human beings are natural creatures who can do both right and wrong. The left believes in a spiritual world that is naturally pure as it is in heaven and any non-pure anomalies is a violation of heaven's laws of goodness. The result is the left's politics is a doctrine right and wrong and it breaks the world into those two camps based on its own doctrine.
